About Mole Excavating Guernsey
Mole Excavating was established
by Ross Le Brun in 2008. Mole Excavating was the first and currently is the only trenchless specialist not only in Guernsey
but the whole of the Channel Islands.
Before Mole Excavating, Ross gained experience in utility laying through
9 years of working for Guernsey's only electricity supplier as a labourer, jointer and linesman, working in
the public highways laying, jointing and installing mains & services. Working within road gang's and often
being "in charge" of cable laying projects and problem solving when fault finding & fault repairing and looking
for routes for new mains & services.
Through working relationships and contacts built up over the
years Mole Excavating is now recomended as a trusted utitity contractor by Guernsey's various utility supplier's engineer's,
inspectors and planners for customers who need new services installed and regularly has to work in and alongside the utilities
to complete projects.
Not every job is suitable for trenchless applications but a quick call and site visit from
Ross can help determine the most efficient way of installing any pipe, cable or duct etc and with cable and pipe detection
equipment, safe routes can be determined.
Ross is City & Guilds Streetwork certificated and holds excavator
and locating & avoidance of underground apperatus tickets. Mole Excavating has relevant public liability and
is registered with Guernsey's Public Service Department to excavate in the public highways.
